OUR STORY
Foundry Room was born out of dream for an empty space that had potential. Our original location was an empty retail space behind MacEwan University. With large south facing windows, cement floors, and a whole lot of character, it was a true hidden gem in Edmonton’s Event Industry. We wanted to offer the city an alternative venue for events outside of the typical hotel, conference centre, and community hall.
This endeavour required several collaborations within the Wedding and Events Industry in order to provide our clients with the best in the city. Knowing the struggle of entrepreneurship, we purposely partnered with smaller start-ups and like-minded dreamers and began to build a small but mighty events team. What started as “such a cool spot” to host small events, quickly became a highly sought after venue in the city. Within two years the demand for venues like Foundry Room was evident, and we decided it was time to expand.
YOUR TEAM
JODY – Owner
Wedding Planner and Industrial Designer, Jody found her niche in designing spaces that are aesthetically appealing and effortlessly functional. A visionary at heart, she is always striving to provide the best venue experience through integral community connections that allow Foundry Room to continually grow and develop.
EVA – Owner & Web Designer
Teacher and Homeschooling Mama of four, Eva and her late husband, Stephen, founded Foundry Room as a side project in 2015 when he relapsed with leukemia. Although she primarily manages the Web Design and Social Media, Eva continues to make the bar menu and welcome sign for all the weddings as a little “Thank You” to those who continue to choose the Foundry Room.
SANDRA – Executive Manager
Communications Graduate and a Foundry Room Bride herself, Sandra felt drawn to the vision behind the Foundry Room and joined the team shortly after her own wedding. As our executive manger, Sandra oversees all three current locations ensuring each are well stocked and ready for all up coming events. She is also the primary Wedding and Events Coordinator at our Whyte Avenue Location.
